A few weeks ago, I submitted a booth request for promoting the Raku programming language at the next year’s FOSDEM in Brussels (1–2 February 2020).
Just got a confirmation that the stand is accepted. More details of whether it is a 2-day stand or it is only there on Saturday or on Sunday, and where it is located, will be announced later.
Update: this is a two-day stand.
“The FOSDEM Stands team is very happy to welcome you all to FOSDEM in 2020. We have accepted 74 stands in total, of which 50 will have a stand for the entire conference, and 24 will switch between Saturday and Sunday (so 12 on each day, making for 62 spots in total). We’re doing this to give as much projects as possible the chance of interacting with their community and the wider Free Software/Open Source community.”
Stay tuned.
Update (05.01.2020). I have passed the stand to The Perl Foundation, we agreed they will have the ‘Perl + Raku’ stand there. I hope it will be helpful for both languages.
